Maintenance
The Van der Graaf Drum Motor requires oil changes every 50,000 hours of operation. This can be done without removing the drum motor from the frame. (Food Grade Oil is standard for all USDA/FDA approved drum motors).
Technical
The Van der Graaf Drum Motor requires minimal space on the conveyor frame and completely eliminates the need for an external motor, gear box, chain, sprockets, chainguard or pillow block bearings. The Van der Graaf Drum Motor can withstand up to 1500 PSI water pressure. The Van der Graaf Drum Motor has a 96% mechanical efficiency. The rated horse power is delivered to the belt.
Installation & Repair
Two mounting brackets and four bolts are needed to install the Van der Graaf Drum Motor - enabling quick installation or replacement. Should repair become necessary, the Van der Graaf Drum Motor has been designed to allow for easy repair by any motor repair shop.
